According to a document from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, revealed by Fox News, former President Donald Trump’s deportation order could impact 1,875 Albanian nationals residing illegally in the United States.
These individuals are part of a larger group of 1.4 million undocumented immigrants expected to be removed under Trump’s renewed anti-immigration campaign. The data, sourced from November 2024, is set to be implemented as part of his strict border enforcement policies.
Albanians Among Those Facing Deportation
The 1,875 Albanians identified for removal are currently listed in ICE’s deportation orders but are not yet in detention. This places Albania among the medium-affected countries in the upcoming wave of deportations. The majority of the 1.4 million individuals facing removal are from Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and El Salvador.
Trump’s Broader Immigration Crackdown
Since taking office, Trump has vowed to increase mass deportations and tighten border controls. His administration plans to detain and remove “foreign criminals” to a detention center in Guantanamo Bay, which will be expanded to accommodate up to 30,000 immigrants.
Additionally, Trump has ordered the deployment of the military to the U.S.-Mexico border and has warned Central American nations that he will impose a 25% tariff on them if they fail to manage migration effectively.
