On the 17th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence, Speaker of the Assembly Glauk Konjufca expressed gratitude to Kosovo’s allies, particularly the United States and European nations, for their role in securing the country’s freedom and sovereignty.
In his message, Konjufca highlighted the sacrifices made for Kosovo’s independence, stating that the struggle for liberation was built upon the blood and efforts of generations.
“The people of Kosovo will always be grateful to our friends and allies, led by the United States and European states, who supported the liberation of Kosovo and the construction of our independent and sovereign state,” Konjufca stated.
He emphasized that without their support, the road to independence would have been longer and more challenging.
“On this day of celebration, we reflect on our history of freedom and dignity, committed to our path of sovereignty, democracy, and integration into the Euro-Atlantic community. Long live the Republic of Kosovo! Happy Independence Day!” he concluded.
