Hungary’s President Sends Independence Greetings, Confirms Osmani’s Visit Date

On the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the Republic of Kosovo’s Independence, the President of Hungary, Dr. Tamás Sulyok, sent a congratulatory message to Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani, extending his heartfelt wishes to her and the people of Kosovo. Additionally, he confirmed President Osmani’s scheduled visit to Hungary on June 17, 2025.

In his message, President Sulyok emphasized Hungary’s support for the development and integration of the Western Balkans, commending Kosovo’s ongoing political, economic, and social reforms on its path toward European Union membership.

“We are confident that the necessary reforms to achieve EU candidate status will be successfully completed as soon as possible,” he stated, reaffirming Hungary’s commitment to supporting this process, according to the Presidency’s announcement.

Furthermore, President Sulyok expressed his satisfaction with the stable development of bilateral relations between Hungary and Kosovo, particularly in economic cooperation. He highlighted that high-level exchanges between the two countries have contributed to strengthening mutual friendship and collaboration.
