March 11, 2025, 14:17 – A fire broke out at midday in the hills of Orikum in Vlora. The fire, which started due to the burning of an electricity transformer, is being assisted by the wind, causing it to spread dangerously close to residential areas. As a result, a portion of the hillside has been burned.
Thanks to the timely intervention of the Vlora firefighting team, the fire was localized and extinguished. The danger to the homes in the area has now been eliminated, according to A2CNN.
It is suspected that the fire may have been deliberately set, in addition to the cause of the electricity transformer.
