The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, held a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte after their meeting at the Presidency, as reported byRKS NEWS.
Among other things, she stated that Kosovo is the country with the strongest pro-NATO sentiment in the world.
The President emphasized that NATO is founded on the values that Kosovo itself stands on today.
“I thank you for accepting my invitation to visit Kosovo, the country with the strongest pro-NATO sentiment in the world. Allow me to welcome you on behalf of all the citizens of our republic, citizens who will be forever grateful for the decisive contribution of the alliance to the freedom of our country.
Therefore, the people of Kosovo will have profound gratitude for every allied country and every soldier who came to defend a people. Over these 25 years, together with you, we have transformed Kosovo into a success story and a democracy that is committed to being not only a beneficiary of security but also a contributor to it.
NATO is founded on the values that our own state stands on, which is why our goal of NATO membership is a strategic necessity for peace and stability in the region and across the entire European continent,” she said.
