The Kosovo Police detained and escorted several Serbian pilgrims today in the Shatervan area of Prizren, reports RKS News.

These individuals were stopped and searched by the police at this popular location, after which they were escorted by several police vehicles to the nearest police station.

The reason for the detention and further details regarding this police action have not been made public. However, Rks News has learned that this was part of a planned operation by the law enforcement authorities.

Additionally, the Kosovo Police arrested four Serbian individuals yesterday in Gjakova after a search of their vehicle with Serbian license plates revealed and seized two knives and an axe from the trunk.

According to the police report, the arrested individuals were taken into custody after consultation with the prosecutor, as stated by Rks News.

This incident has raised concerns among the authorities, prompting an urgent meeting of the National Security Council at the request of Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

During this meeting, security issues in the country and Serbia’s destabilizing efforts, including the incident in Gjakova, were discussed.
