The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has announced the awarding of the Presidential Military Medal to the Finnish Armed Forces in recognition of their tireless contribution and commitment to supporting Kosovo since 1999, as part of the KFOR mission.
In a post on Facebook, Osmani emphasized the importance of the Finnish peacekeepers, calling them “heroes of peace who act even when it’s the most difficult.”
“Yesterday, at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki, I had the honor of presenting the Presidential Military Medal to the Finnish Armed Forces, in appreciation of their tireless contribution and commitment to supporting Kosovo since 1999, as part of the KFOR mission.
Peacekeepers are the heroes who make peace possible, even when it is most difficult. Thank you to Finland and every Finnish soldier for their irreplaceable role in maintaining peace and stability,” Osmani wrote.
She expressed the gratitude and appreciation of the people of Kosovo to every Finnish soldier who has served in the country, contributing to the preservation of peace and stability.
