The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, in an interview with the Finnish media outlet “Yle,” emphasized that Kosovo’s future is within the Euro-Atlantic community, underlining the country’s commitment to integration into the EU and NATO.

“Kosovo has one clear and sole goal membership in the European Union and NATO. Our future is in the West,” Osmani told “Yle.”

She stressed that Kosovo has undertaken more reforms than any other country in the region and that the citizens are firmly committed to this path.

“97 percent of our citizens support EU and NATO membership. We never lose hope,” she stated.

According to her, challenges still remain, including the fact that five EU member states have yet to recognize Kosovo’s independence, but despite this, Kosovo will not stop moving forward.

The President also took the opportunity to thank Finland for its continuous support over the years.

“We are grateful for Finland’s unwavering support. It has been a strong ally of Kosovo for decades,” she emphasized.
