Hansi Flick has shared his thoughts on Barcelona’s preparations for the upcoming El Clasico against Real Madrid, highlighting the team’s mentality following the midweek defeat to Inter in the Champions League and their focus on the important challenge ahead.
The German coach spoke today at a press conference about the match scheduled for Sunday at 16:15, taking place at the ‘Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys’.
“We’re doing well. After the loss in Milan, everyone knows it’s not easy, but we’re handling things properly. We’ve discussed what we want to accomplish over the next two weeks. The players are energized. Great work has been done over the past four months and we want to keep it going,” Flick initially said.
“We have four games and an El Clasico to prove how well we can play. We need to show confidence in what we aim to present,” he added.
Flick emphasized the need for full readiness from the team in this high-stakes match, stating:
“We’ve spoken with the players to understand how they’re feeling — we do this openly. In a match like El Clasico, we have to be 100% ready, active, intense, and dominant.”
