Kosovo’s Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, has confirmed that intensive efforts are being made to complete the autopsy report for Agon Zejnullahu, who died recently in Lipjan under controversial circumstances involving law enforcement officials.

Five police officers have been arrested and are under investigation for negligent homicide in connection with the case.

“An autopsy of the late Agon Zejnullahu was conducted yesterday upon the order of the Basic Prosecution in Pristina,” Minister Haxhiu stated. “The Institute of Forensic Medicine (IML) is making maximum efforts to complete both histopathological and toxicological analysis of the tissue samples taken during the autopsy in order to finalize the report as soon as possible.”

She also clarified that the IML has not yet submitted any preliminary findings regarding the case.

The incident has sparked public concern and raised questions about police conduct, while institutions have called for transparency and accountability throughout the investigation process.
