Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani, has described the situation in the Gaza Strip as a humanitarian catastrophe and called for an immediate end to the suffering of innocent civilians — especially children.

“Children never start wars, but they suffer the most and bear the heaviest consequences of every conflict,” Osmani wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

President Osmani reaffirmed Kosovo’s full support for the efforts led by the United States, Qatar, and Egypt to broker a ceasefire and secure the immediate release of all hostages.

“Every child, every family, regardless of nationality or faith, is precious and must be protected. We fully support the ceasefire efforts led by the US, Qatar, and Egypt, including the immediate release of all hostages. Meanwhile, ensuring access to food, water, and medicine for the most vulnerable must remain a key priority to ease the suffering of the innocent,” she stated.

President Osmani also emphasized Kosovo’s commitment to an international engagement that seeks a just and lasting peace, where both Israelis and Palestinians can live in dignity, security, and mutual respect.

“Until that future becomes reality, every effort must be made to prevent further loss of innocent lives and to alleviate the suffering of all people,” Osmani concluded.
