An elite Hezbollah fighter from the Radwan force was killed in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon on Thursday, the Israeli military said.
According to the statement, the Radwan force member was operating in the Deir Seryan area, and his actions were in violation of the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, reports The Times of Israel.
Since the ceasefire reached in November last year, Israeli forces have remained in several areas of Lebanon and claim to have killed more than 230 Hezbollah operatives in the country.
They have accused Hezbollah of violating the terms of the truce.
Hezbollah, an Iran-backed group, began launching airstrikes toward Israel after the outbreak of the Gaza war, saying it was acting in solidarity with the Palestinians.
