By order of the Prizren Basic Prosecution Office, the Economic Crimes Investigation Unit carried out a large-scale operation today across several cities, including Prizren, Peja, Ferizaj, Gjilan, Rahovec, Podujeva and Obiliq. More than 300 police officers and 10 prosecutors were engaged in the operation.
As part of this action, over 40 individuals are suspected of involvement in illegal activities. Among those arrested are former senior officials of the Kosovo Insurance Bureau (BKS).
Sinjali has reported exclusively that, as a result of this major operation, Sami Mazreku, former head of the Kosovo Insurance Bureau, and Valon Berisha, former Director of Finance at the same institution, were arrested.
Regarding the case, the Prosecution held a press conference, during which it announced the items that were seized.
During the press conference organized by the Prizren Prosecution Office, several photographs were released showing cash, gold jewelry and luxury watches confiscated during today’s raids on the houses and apartments of the aforementioned individuals.
