Former President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, has announced that he held a brief meeting with Kosovo’s Acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, during a visit to Prishtina.
According to Đukanović, the meeting took place at Kurti’s office, where he congratulated the Kosovo leader on his recent election victory. The former Montenegrin president shared details of the encounter through a post on social media platform X.
“While traveling through Prishtina, I briefly met with Prime Minister Albin Kurti and congratulated him on his recent electoral victory,” Đukanović wrote.
He further stated that the two officials held a friendly discussion and exchanged views on ongoing developments in the Western Balkans and broader global affairs, placing particular emphasis on issues related to regional security and stability.
The meeting reflects continued diplomatic engagement between Kosovo and Montenegro, two neighboring countries that maintain cooperative political and regional relations, particularly concerning security, Euro-Atlantic integration, and broader geopolitical developments in the Western Balkans.
