Acting Minister of Defense of Kosovo, Ejup Maqedonci, together with his Albanian counterpart, Pirro Vengu, visited troops from Kosovo and Albanian units engaged in ongoing search operations in the Klos area for a missing 30-year-old individual.

Maqedonci highlighted the role of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), which has been deployed since January 29 with specialized personnel, including rescue units, underwater scanners, and drone technology, to assist in locating the missing person. “The search operations will continue, and our personnel are fully committed to the mission,” he stated.

The KSF deployment followed a request from Albanian authorities, and the Kosovo government approved the Ministry of Defense’s proposal to engage a Search and Rescue contingent from the Civil Protection Regiment of the KSF National Guard in support of the operation in Klos.

The joint effort underscores the cooperative security and humanitarian efforts between Kosovo and Albania in responding to emergencies and supporting cross-border search and rescue operations.
