The founder of the Humanitarian Law Center in Serbia, Nataša Kandić, has stated that the investigation into the “Sarajevo Safari” case urgently requires independent expert analysis and that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić must be questioned, as he appears in footage that has previously been made public.

On the social network X, Kandić also wrote that, in addition to Aleksandar Vučić, it is essential to question Vojislav Šešelj, in connection with Vučić’s statements claiming that he was responsible for translating for foreign individuals.

These demands are linked to suspicions of manipulation of evidence and the surrounding circumstances of the events documented in Sarajevo, including the role of political and paramilitary actors during the war period.

Meanwhile, the Italian investigation into “Sarajevo Safari” is set to begin with the questioning of the Italian suspect on February 9, 2026.

“Everything indicates that both Šešelj and Aleksandar Vučić may receive a summons from the Italian prosecutor. Everything also suggests that cooperation between the prosecutors of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia with the Italian prosecutor who has initiated the proceedings is necessary,” Kandić wrote.
