By order of the Special Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kosovo, police investigators from the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Serious Crimes have arrested a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, identified by the initials F.S., at the Merdare border crossing in Podujevë, on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “Espionage.”
The arrest of the suspect was carried out following investigative actions undertaken by the competent authorities.
The Special Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kosovo stated that, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, it will continue undertaking all necessary investigative actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the case.
“The institutions reaffirm their commitment to combating and prosecuting, as well as bringing to justice, all persons for whom there are well-founded suspicions of involvement in unlawful activities, particularly those that endanger national security,” the Special Prosecution Office of Kosovo said in its statement.
