A three-vehicle accident occurred in the Qafë Thanë area, near “Uji i Ftohtë,” involving two small cars and a minibus transporting the Skënderbeu women’s volleyball team.
It is reported that one of the vehicles made a wrong maneuver, causing the collision between the three vehicles.
Following the accident, the drivers sustained minor injuries, while the volleyball players experienced shock but, fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
The team was traveling to the capital to play the second final match of the Albanian Women’s Volleyball Championship.
Police have interviewed the drivers to clarify the causes of the accident, while, thankfully, the situation remained under control.
Following the incident, Skënderbeu’s team officials have requested the Albanian Volleyball Federation to postpone the second final match to a later date.
