Accident with Two Deaths in Zagreb, Ministry of Health: A Third of the Injured Have Severe Physical Injuries, Including Minors

The Minister of Health, Irena Hrstic, expressed her condolences to the families of the victims in a tragic traffic accident on the A3 highway and thanked all the emergency services for their swift and professional response, reports Reporteri.net.

In the accident, two people lost their lives, and 31 others were injured. 29 of the injured were treated in hospitals in Zagreb, Sisak, and Pakrac.


Five people were transferred to the Dubrava Hospital, four to Zagreb Hospital, two to the Traumatology Clinic at Sestre Milosrdnice Hospital, ten to Pakrac General Hospital, and nine to Sisak Hospital. Currently, some patients are undergoing surgeries, but none are in critical condition.


Initial reports suggest that about a third of the injured have severe physical injuries, mainly bone and joint injuries.

Among the injured, there are minors, and the average age of the passengers is moderate. Most of the victims were citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ten emergency medical teams from various regions were deployed to the scene, and the injured will also receive psychological assistance, in addition to medical care, if necessary.
