The Chairman of the Socialist Party, Edi Rama, held a meeting in the city of Vlorë, focusing on the progress of strategic projects in the field of transport, specifically at the Vlorë International Airport and the development of the Port of Vlorë.
Rama stopped to discuss the agreement signed with one of the largest companies in the world in the military industry, for the establishment of an aviation academy in Vlorë.
He mentioned that the partners include not only Israel, but also the USA, other EU countries, and Turkey.
Rama highlighted that the academy is an important step to support both civil aviation and the armed forces, providing highly skilled human capital. He added that the core of this initiative is to revitalize the defense industry and military production in Albania. The goal is to increase defense spending, focusing on supporting the Armed Forces in all aspects, including housing for military personnel.
