In the previous season, Fisnik Asllani emerged as a rising star in Bundesliga 2 with Elversberg. Now, back at Hoffenheim, he is taking the next step toward becoming a true goal machine in the German top flight.

Asllani displayed his quality in the Cup match against Rostock, scoring once and providing an assist to help Hoffenheim advance.

A week later, in an away match against Leverkusen, the same story repeated: a goal and an assist from Asllani in the 2–1 victory.

After a difficult match against a strong Frankfurt side, he responded with another fiery performance, netting twice against his boyhood club, Union Berlin.

With three Bundesliga goals so far, Asllani is trailing only Harry Kane and Serhou Guirassy, placing himself among the league’s very best.

His decisive breakthrough came last season while on loan at Elversberg. Much like Nick Woltemade two years earlier—who tallied 17 goals and 10 assists in the third tier—the tall striker Asllani shone brightly in Saarland.

With 18 goals and 8 assists, the Kosovo forward ranked among the top scorers in Bundesliga 2 and played a key role in Elversberg’s successful campaign, which ended in a promotion playoff spot.

Asllani has always had the instinct for goals. With 102 attempts, he was the second-most frequent shooter in the league, converting 62 percent of his big chances and finishing as the third-highest scorer overall. That sharpness has carried over into the Bundesliga: ten shots in three Hoffenheim matches—more than any of his teammates.

At 23, Asllani may not be the fastest player, but he shows a clear willingness to cover ground. He is physically strong and technically sound. This is evident not only in his goals but also in his creativity: already two assists and five key passes for shots—more than any other Hoffenheim player.

Virtually, Asllani is a complete forward. He brings everything to the pitch. Having played deeper in the past, the German-Kosovar is now on the verge of a breakout. His transformation into a Bundesliga top scorer is only a matter of time.
