The Embassy of Great Britain, in a response to RTK, has stated that it regrets the decision of the Serbian List to boycott the elections for or against the dismissal of the presidents in the north.
We are dissapointed for the decision of the Serbian List and a number of independent Kosovo Serb politicians to boycott yesterday’s votes for the withdrawal of the mayors of the municipalities”, their response states.
According to this embassy, the boycott is an obstacle to democracy.
“The boycott is an obstacle to representative democracy. However, the votes were conducted safely and in accordance with the law. The results mean that the four mayors will continue to serve their mandates and we encourage them to carry out their duties, taking into account the needs and interests of their communities”, said the Embassy of Great Britain.
