The joint-stock company Trepça has announced that it has begun an operation to clear its properties, including the demolition of all illegally built structures and garages on a parcel of land in North Mitrovica, near the detention center.
In its official statement, the company said the decision came after the expiration of a given deadline and the failure to comply with an earlier notice issued in February.
“Based on field inspections, this area includes over 20 garages and structures placed along the road, which are owned by Trepça JSC and have been illegally occupied. This action follows a 48-hour deadline given for voluntary evacuation of the space, as well as prior warnings, offering parties the possibility to submit any agreements for review,” the statement reads.
Trepça added that the property clearance operation is being carried out with institutional support and will continue until full return of the property under its management.
