Dodik threatens: With the adoption of the Resolution on Srebrenica, BiH is buried
The president of the Serbian enclave in Bosnia and Herzegovina, called Republika Srpska, the pro-Russian Milorad Dodik has stated that if the resolution on Srebrenica is approved by the UN General Assembly, it will definitely “bury Bosnia and Herzegovina”, because “the possibility of reconciliation” will be buried. the two peoples and those who support its approval do so “for speculative reasons”.
“This is throwing salt in the wound. The Muslim Bosniaks will get nothing from it except joy, and the Serbs will reject it and will not implement anything”, said Dodik in an interview for the Russian medium “Russia Today”.
He claimed that foreign factors “started to describe the behavior of the Serbs as genocidal even before anything happened”, and that they announced that the Serbs were “allegedly” preparing for genocide.
Asked which countries besides Russia will vote against the resolution on Srebrenica, Dodik said that he believes there will be about 40 countries that “understand the situation”.
“I wouldn’t speculate, but as far as I know, about 40 countries will be against it. This is not a small number when we consider that 70 of them, maybe more, will abstain. Then this means that the required majority in the UN General Assembly will not vote in favor”, hopes Dodik.
“If in total the majority of votes abstain and are against the resolution”, claims Dodik, then this means that “the majority of the global community does not think that genocide took place in Srebrenica”.
“This means that those who are in favor do so for speculative reasons,” continues Dodik.
He also says that “the initiative for the resolution on Srebrenica is in accordance with the decision of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on the admission of Kosovo to the Council of Europe, in order to put pressure on the Serbian people”.
According to him, “in the statute of the Council of Europe, it is written that member countries can only be members of the UN, but not Kosovo. Breaking the rules when it suits them shows that everything is planned. I absolutely think that this is coordinated and at the end of the day, they are the same promoters of all these events”, Dodik tries to place the blame for the genocide with the massacres committed by the Serbs in the region during the 90s on carry to others.
