Heavy snowfall has caused major disruptions in road circulation in Albania.
On the Peshkopi-Maqellare road, dozens of vehicles are blocked at two points: one near the Melani Bridge and another near the Dovolan Mountain area.
Snowfall continues with high intensity, and at these locations, there is over 20 cm of snow.
The company responsible for road maintenance has deployed only four snowplows, which are insufficient to clear the road. Meanwhile, some drivers were caught off guard as they had removed their winter tires.
The same situation is reported on the Peshkopi-Kukës road, where snow thickness reaches up to 30 cm in the Kalana of Doda area, although no blockages have been reported there.
