The European Union has announced the blocking of more Russian assets.
The EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, stated that these assets will remain blocked for an indefinite period, IndeksOnline reports.
“This ensures that up to 210 billion euros of Russian funds remain on EU territory unless Russia fully compensates Ukraine for the damages it has caused. We continue increasing pressure on Russia until it takes negotiations seriously,” Kallas declared.
Meanwhile, the European Council will meet next week to secure Ukraine’s financial needs for the years ahead.
