Rks News has learned about a sensitive incident that occurred today in Gjilan, involving a KEDS official and a citizen, which resulted in two separate criminal cases.
According to Sinjali’s sources, on September 17, 2025, at around 11:55 a.m. on “Avdulla Presheva” street, a citizen accused a KEDS official of taking a bribe.
In his statement, the citizen claimed he had given the official €50, €30 for settling an electricity debt and €20 for a private service. However, after verifying that only €30 had been paid toward the debt, the citizen became upset and confronted the official, accusing him of misappropriating the remaining €20.
On the other hand, the official admitted to having carried out a private service outside of his official duties, for which he received €20, while confirming that the remaining amount had been used to pay the electricity bill.
Both individuals were taken to the police station for questioning. Following consultation with the Prosecutor’s Office, two separate cases were initiated: one for assault and another for bribery.
Investigations into this incident are ongoing.
