Today marks one year since the terrorist attack in Banjskë, Zvečan, carried out by a group of Serbs led by Milan Radoičić, former deputy leader of the Serbian List. In response, the German Embassy has called for justice, reminding Belgrade of an important fact.
In a Facebook post, the German Embassy emphasized that despite Radoičić’s admission of responsibility, he remains free in Serbia.
“One year ago, during the horrific attack in Banjskë, Kosovo police officer Afrim Bunjaku lost his life. His sacrifice will not be forgotten, but the fact remains: Milan Radoičić, the alleged perpetrator of this crime, despite admitting responsibility, is still at large in Serbia. The failure to hold responsible parties accountable, despite clear admissions of guilt, undermines peace in the region and sends a dangerous message. Justice must be served. There can be no more delays or justifications,” the statement from the German Embassy reads.
During the terrorist attack on the Kosovo Police, police officer and hero Afrim Bunjaku was killed.
Five days after the incident, on September 29, Radoičić claimed responsibility for the attack, and he is believed to be in Serbia.
