Germany extends the mandate of its soldiers in Kosovo

Germany decided to extend for one more year the mandate of its soldiers, who participate in the NATO Peacekeeping Mission in Kosovo (KFOR), reports Anadolu.

Meanwhile, the Council of Ministers has decided to extend the mandate of German soldiers in KFOR for one more year, and has limited the number of personnel to 400.

The number of German soldiers on mission in Kosovo is 290. The decision of the Council of Ministers must be approved by the Federal Parliament.

The German army has been in Kosovo since June 12, 1999. There are a total of 4,800 soldiers from 28 countries in Kosovo.
