The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Đurić, stated that the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue should be based on mutual trust, which, under the current circumstances, is impossible.

In a meeting at the UN Security Council, Đurić complained about the closure of parallel institutions that had existed in various municipalities in Kosovo. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the results of the elections in Kosovo and the delay in their publication, alleging that it was done so that Albin Kurti would have an additional vote and seat in the Kosovo Assembly, in his favor.

“Dialogue remains the only possible way, but it needs to be created in good faith. The image presented to you is grim, and under these circumstances, it is difficult to talk about building trust, which is a prerequisite for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. We believe that, at this moment, new forces and energy are needed for the dialogue, as the dialogue so far has not produced any significant results,” he said, adding that they will strive to be constructive in the dialogue.
