The Government of Kosovo has approved draft laws for the ratification of three additional protocols of the CEFTA.
The approved protocols include:
- Protocol 6 on trade in services
- Protocol 5 on accession and amendments to the agreement
- Protocol 7 on dispute settlement
Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade Mimoza Kusari-Lila said the approval marks an important milestone for Kosovo, stressing that for the first time these protocols will be adopted in the Kosovo Assembly without the involvement of UNMIK.
She described it as a significant achievement, saying it reflects intensive work by the current government and previous efforts within the ministry.
Kusari-Lila added that the protocols ensure equal treatment among all CEFTA member states and strengthen Kosovo’s role in international trade cooperation.
