The Government of Kosovo has not yet officially announced the comments it has sent to Brussels regarding the implementation of the Basic Agreement.
Although Prime Minister Albin Kurti said yesterday that the content of these comments will be announced this morning, there is still no official information on what Kosovo has submitted to the European Union.
What is known is only a confirmation by the adviser of the chief negotiator of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, Klisman Kadiu.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said yesterday that Kosovo will respond to Brussels adequately.
“The team of Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi is working even at this time that we are talking in order to respond to Brussels in an adequate and deserved way, and they will certainly inform you about this during the day today or later away tomorrow morning”, said Kurti.
He reiterated Kosovo’s position on the said agreement.
“First, before we have requests for the implementation of the agreement, we must have respect. We can’t have real or sustainable enforcement if we don’t have compliance. Serbia has not done it here, although it has violated it every week since it was accepted last year, culminating with the letter of Bërnabiq, in the middle of December, sent to the 27 countries of the EU where Serbia practically withdrew from the agreement. .
“So we insist on respecting the agreement, for this we need a signature, because the signature would be the guarantee of sincerity, good faith for the implementation of the agreement and would remove all those previous violations”.
