Iran’s Joint Military Command has warned that any vessel failing to follow the maritime corridors designated by Iranian authorities in the Strait of Hormuz will face an immediate military response.

In a statement broadcast by Iranian state television, military officials said that any deviation from the approved shipping lanes or failure to comply with protocols established by Tehran would be treated as a serious violation.

The warning was issued by Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, one day after a vessel became stranded in the Strait of Hormuz while, according to Iranian authorities, operating outside the approved navigation corridors.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most strategically important maritime chokepoints, with a significant share of global oil exports passing through the waterway each day.

Any escalation of tensions in the region could have a direct impact on global energy markets, international shipping, and maritime security, raising concerns over the stability of one of the world’s busiest trade routes.
