A year ago, police sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed in Banjska, Zveçan, by a group of armed Serbs, led by the then vice-president of the Serbian List, Millan Radoičić.
On the first anniversary of his death, the international community has called for those responsible for that attack, which left three of the aggressors dead, to be held accountable.
Italy has made the same call, through its embassy in Kosovo, while remembering the hero Afrim Bunjaku.
“We remember and honor the memory of Kosovo police officer Afrim Bunjaku, cowardly killed in the attack on Banjska a year ago.”
“Italy reaffirms its position that the perpetrators of this heinous crime, along with all those involved, will be fully held accountable,” wrote the Italian embassy on platform X.
