American Vice President, JD Vance, and his wife Usha have arrived at the Pituffik military space base in Northwestern Greenland.

Upon arriving in Greenland, they boarded an armored vehicle from the U.S. military.

During the visit to the base, Vance stated, “Many Americans ask why Greenland is so important.”

“If a missile were to be launched from an enemy country towards the U.S., it would be the people here, ahead of us, who would alert the brave men and women in the southern U.S. to inform them of what was happening,” said the Vice President.

He also mentioned that Russia and China are showing interest in Arctic passageways.

“We must ensure that America leads in the Arctic,” he added.
