KFOR (Kosovo Force) has provided details regarding the controlled explosion of a World War II-era bomb in Kaçanik, which was discovered by local residents near the river.

The bomb, weighing 250 kilograms, was safely detonated under the supervision of KFOR’s Commander, Enrico Barduani, in line with international safety standards. The operation ensured the protection of the local community.

In addition to KFOR’s specialized units, the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) participated in the detonation as part of a training exercise, while the Kosovo Police oversaw the security of the surrounding area during the operation.
