The 43rd constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly continued today, but once again failed to make progress towards electing a new Speaker. With 99 deputies present, the presiding member proceeded with the proposal to form an electoral commission for the election of the Assembly Speaker.

No Proposals for Electoral Commission

Calls were made for PDK, LDK, Serb List, AAK, and Nisma to each propose a member for the commission. However, no proposals were put forth by the parties.

Session Interrupted After Failed Vote

Following the lack of nominations, the presiding member requested deputies to proceed with a vote for the commission to select the Assembly Speaker. Only 55 deputies participated in the voting process, falling short of the required quorum. Consequently, the session was adjourned and will resume two days later, on July 9, at 11:00 AM.
