Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that Syria has officially recognized the independence of the Republic of Kosovo, making it the latest state to do so this year.
“After Kenya and Sudan, Syria becomes the next country to recognize Kosovo within this year. Three recognitions and three new partnerships for our country,” Kurti wrote on Facebook.
Kurti thanked President Vjosa Osmani for her successful diplomatic efforts and expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its support in facilitating the recognition.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Kosovo is committed to strengthening relations with Syria through long-term bilateral ties and strategic partnerships, further expanding the country’s international engagement.
