Kosovo Police in Zveçan received information about a location suspected of storing illegal weapons. Upon investigating, police units discovered camouflage uniforms, a helmet, and five loaded magazines.
Deputy Commander of the Regional Police in the North, Veton Elshani, confirmed that several other uniforms equipped with firearms were also found.
“We received information that at a specific location here in Zveçan, there might be illegal weapons. We intervened immediately and found camouflage uniforms, a helmet, five loaded magazines, and radio communications devices. There were also other uniforms of a similar type. The radios appear to have belonged to the police and were previously functional. We believe these items are remnants related to the Banjska incident or linked to suspects in that case,” Elshani stated to the media.
He added that the items were found in a trailer, which, according to the police, belongs to a suspect involved in the Banjska attack and who is currently wanted by the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo.
“There are no residents at the location, but we believe we know the suspect, and we will continue with further procedures,” Elshani said.
