President Justina Shiroka-Pula, Speaker of Parliament Albulena Haxhiu and Prime Minister Albin Kurti are attending the ceremony marking the change of command of the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR).
Italian General Roberto Vergori is expected to take over command of KFOR from Turkish General Özkan Ulutaş.
Several days ago, KFOR said the two commanders would work “closely together throughout the transition process to ensure continuity in KFOR’s activities” ahead of the official handover ceremony.
Former presidents, ministers, foreign diplomats and religious leaders are also attending the ceremony.
