Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has reacted to the newly reached ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, directly congratulating former U.S. President Donald Trump for his role in achieving it.
In a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Kurti praised the peace plan, describing it as “an important step toward ending the conflict in the Gaza Strip.”
“We welcome and commend President Donald Trump’s leadership in securing an agreement to achieve a ceasefire and the release of hostages in the initial phase of the peace deal, bringing an end to two years of immense suffering,” Kurti wrote, tagging Trump in his message.
The U.S.-brokered deal foresees an immediate ceasefire and the release of hostages held by both sides. The plan has been widely welcomed by the international community, seen as a significant move toward de-escalating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
