Today, the Prime Minister’s Office released other details from last night’s conversation between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.
In this phone call, ZKM says that Prime Minister Kurti and President Macron also raised the issue of the lack of punishment for the perpetrators of the paramilitary and terrorist attack on September 24 last year, led by Millan Radoicic “who is still free in Serbia, despite the clear evidence and the admission of guilt for the organization and involvement in the attack where a Kosovo policeman was killed”.
He also informed President Macron “about the constant pressure, intimidation and blackmail that the Government of Serbia is doing to the citizens of Kosovo from the ranks of the Serbian community, which was also reflected in the low number of participants in the voting process on April 21 in the four municipalities in the north of the country”.
During this conversation, Prime Minister Kurti thanked the French President and the Republic of France for their steadfast support to Kosovo.
Furthermore, the prime minister expressed his belief that France will continue to support Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe, without additional preconditions, in accordance with the opinion of the Assembly of the Council of Europe and the historic vote of April 16. He emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo deserves membership on the basis of performance and achievements in the development of democracy, human rights, the rule of law and its alignment with Western values and policies.
Regarding the subject of the dialogue process in Brussels and the relations between Kosovo and Serbia, Prime Minister Kurti insisted on the full respect and implementation of the Basic Agreement of February 27 and its annex of March 18.
