The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, today welcomed a delegation of French Members of Parliament, which included Mrs. Marine Hamelet from Rassemblement National (RN), Mr. Frédéric Petit from Groupe Démocrate (MODEM), Mr. Pierre Pribetich from Parti Socialiste (PS), and Mr. Jean-Louis Roumégas from Groupe Écologiste et Social, accompanied by the French Ambassador to Kosovo, Olivier Guérot.
Chairman Krasniqi expressed his deep gratitude, as well as that of PDK, for the unwavering support that France has given to Kosovo over the years and continues to provide, especially in Kosovo’s European integration efforts.
Regarding the political developments in the country, Krasniqi emphasized the urgent need for the formation of new, functional institutions that will serve the interests of citizens. He stressed the importance of addressing critical issues such as the high cost of living, economic development, and Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
Furthermore, Chairman Krasniqi called for the removal of punitive measures imposed by international partners, which, according to him, are exacerbating the challenges to citizens’ well-being and the economy. He requested continued support from France in advancing Kosovo’s European Union membership bid and in encouraging non-recognizing countries to recognize Kosovo’s independence.
In conclusion, he reaffirmed PDK’s commitment to the path toward Europe, in collaboration with allies, for the benefit of the people of Kosovo.
