A Falcon 50 military aircraft carrying the Chief of the General Staff of Libya crashed near Ankara, Turkey, resulting in the deaths of several high-ranking Libyan military leaders on board, local media report.

According to sources, earlier the same day, Mohammed Ali al-Haddad had held meetings in Turkey with senior military officials.

Following the incident, Turkish authorities temporarily closed the airspace over Ankara as a security precaution.

Turkish officials have officially confirmed the crash, stating that security forces have reached the site of the wreckage. Wreckage has reportedly been found in the Haymana area, where the crash is believed to have occurred.
