“We will prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons; we will not back down even one inch from this promise,” declared Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Without us, Iran would have had nuclear weapons ten years ago,” he added.
Just a few days ago, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, warned that Iran is not far from possessing an atomic bomb.
Western countries, led by the United States and Israel, have long suspected that Iran seeks to develop nuclear weapons.
Tehran denies these accusations and defends its right to nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, particularly for power generation.
