The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kosovo continues to assess postal voting packages submitted for citizens voting from abroad in the October 12 local elections.
As of Thursday at 4:00 PM, over 32,000 postal packages have been evaluated. Of these, more than 28,200 were approved, while approximately 2,700 packages were rejected due to the absence of a voter registration certificate — a unique document issued by the CEC to registered voters.
The process of collecting postal voting packages from 23 mailboxes in 22 countries and within Kosovo was completed on Tuesday. In total, 33,841 packages were retrieved, some of which have already arrived in Kosovo.
Once the assessment is fully complete, the CEC will release the final number of approved packages that will be counted in the Counting and Results Center.
