The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has welcomed the Constitutional Court’s decision regarding its requests concerning the constitution of the Assembly and the formation of the Government.
PDK recalled that it has been calling since August for the completion of the Assembly’s constitution, arguing that the delays have hindered the exercise of its responsibilities and prolonged institutional uncertainty.
The party has called for the Assembly to convene immediately and for the Draft Law on the Specialist Chambers to be placed as the first item on the agenda.
PDK described the adoption of the initiative as a “national priority,” saying it aims to pursue justice, protect what it describes as the values of the Kosovo Liberation Army’s war, and respect the sacrifices made by the people of Kosovo for freedom and independence.
According to PDK, the Assembly has 13 days remaining to complete the institutional processes, vote on the Draft Law amending and supplementing the Law on the Specialist Chambers, elect the President, and avoid early elections.
