The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met today with Nobel laureate Nadia Murad, one of the world’s strongest voices in the fight for justice for survivors of sexual violence during wartime.
In a Facebook post, President Osmani stated that Murad was in Kosovo to join forces in empowering the voices of all survivors in Kosovo and beyond.
“Nadia Murad is one of the world’s most powerful voices in the fight for justice for survivors of sexual violence during wartime. Today, she was in Kosovo to unite our efforts to amplify the voices of all survivors in Kosovo and beyond. Together, we visited survivors and organizations that work closely with survivors of sexual violence during the recent conflict in Kosovo, which the Presidency has supported for years,” President Osmani wrote.
