President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, extended her New Year greetings to citizens of Kosovo and compatriots worldwide, reflecting on the achievements of 2025 and outlining the country’s goals for 2026.

In her message, President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo progresses when guided by determination, values, and unity. She noted that despite challenges, including delays in establishing institutions, Kosovo’s voice on the international stage remained principled and steadfast, strengthening the nation’s position globally.

“Kosovo concluded a challenging year, yet one in which our voice was heard strongly and our stance internationally was principled and unwavering. This year has strengthened us and prepared us to move forward with greater confidence and responsibility,” Osmani stated.

President Osmani praised the contributions of citizens across all sectors, including workers, police, military personnel, teachers, doctors, youth, women, and the diaspora, describing them as essential pillars of Kosovo’s development and representation internationally.

Looking forward to 2026, Osmani outlined priorities for the nation:

  • Strengthening the rule of law and justice
  • Enhancing security and institutional services for all citizens
  • Supporting families and youth, ensuring opportunities for the next generation
  • Advancing economic development and prosperity
  • Deepening Kosovo’s integration and international standing

She concluded her message with wishes for health, peace, and well-being, calling on all citizens to enter the new year with confidence, mutual trust, and a shared commitment to Kosovo’s future.
