The leader of Albania’s Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has praised Kosovo’s Extraordinary Parliamentary Elections held on December 28, 2025, describing them as a significant democratic success and an inspiring example for Albania.
In a public statement, Berisha emphasized that the entire electoral process in Kosovo demonstrated the proper functioning of a developing democracy, highlighting the election campaign, vote administration, voting procedures, and free political competition as evidence of respect for citizens’ will.
Praise for Institutions and Political Actors
Berisha congratulated the citizens of Kosovo, state institutions, and electoral bodies responsible for organizing the elections, as well as political parties for their participation and responsible approach throughout the process.
He particularly underscored the acceptance of the final election results, noting that it reflected political maturity and democratic standards.
